Article in The Sunday Times Magazine on the Quantified Self movement mentions my talk
My mum rang me up last night to say that I’d got a shout out in an article on the Quantified Self movement in last Sunday’s Sunday Times Magazine. (The “Quantified Self movement” is about tracking your personal data: calories burned, calories consumed, steps walked each day, and so on.)
Here’s the cover…
Inside was this article by journalist Tim Cheater titled “You Are Just A Number”…
…and here’s the paragraph which mentions my talk for the London Quantified Self Meetup Group, organised by Adriana Lukas, at the Google Campus, a few months ago…
I liked the bit which said “Chris Payne is a likeable chap who reminds me of a northern stand-up.” 🙂
Here’s the video of my talk…
I had a maximum of 10-11 minutes to give my talk, so I went a bit faster than I’d have preferred. If you want to watch another video where I elaborate on what I said in my talk – and get hold of a pdf of my slides – and other good stuff, go here.
Finally, I just stumbled across this comment on Google Plus from a guy called Blaine Price…
…a great summary of my talk! 🙂
Absolutely fantastic! Well done. Definitely a Northern comedian – I’ve often thought of you as a likeable version of Paul Daniels. Except that your magic is the real magic of lasting, positive change…
